This turntable from Digitnow! is basically a portable wooden record player with the ability to send digital data to your PC for conversion into any digital format.
Most of this conversion is undertaken by your computer via an application called 'Audacity'.
This piece of software is supplied on a CD-ROM for installation on any PC or Mac.
It's not the easiest of software to use and can take quite a lot of work to master.
The results though are worth the effort and mp3 files can be created with a bit of work.
The record player arrives in a big printed box (see photos) and it looks nicely presented.
Opening the box you can found the record player itself, a bag of assorted leads, a CD-ROM and a user manual.
The leads comprise a power supply, a USB lead, a 3.5mm jack to jack lead and a stereo phono lead.
The record playing unit is encased in a nice wooden box with brass style fittings. It certainly looks attractive. Apart from the turntable, there is just one control, namely an on/off rotary volume control.
There are a couple of LED lights, one to indicate that the power is on and the other lights up when the charging lead is inserted.
It has the usual three speeds of 33, 45 and 78 rpm. There is a cue arm lift but no auto start stop.
There is a switch though that will allow the turntable to stop automatically when at the end of the record
